Using a $5,000 grant from Motorola STEM Solutions administered through the Education Foundation of Palm Beach County, the fifth-grade class at Hidden Oaks Elementary School constructed their very own electric city, powered by renewable energy sources, such as bio mass and solar and hydro power.
The Orlando Science Center and the Motorola Solutions Foundation are teaming up to host 2016 STEM Day at the Florida Capitol. The annual event aims to raise awareness about the importance of STEM — or science, technology, engineering and mathematics — education in Florida.

On Dec. 15, the City of Pensacola announced that they joined Escambia County's ASTRO 25 network enabling seamless communications with agencies across the county, Florida and neighboring states.
